Everything It’s Cracked Up To Be

Excelsior has long been a favorite of Jamaican families, but there’s nothing wrong with giving a traditional goody a fresh twist.

We worked with Excelsior to boost its appeal with younger audiences while maintaining the integrity and taste it has boasted for generations. To Excelsior’s original tagline ‘Jamaica’s favorite’ we incorporated ‘…in so many ways,’ to reflect the assortment of Excelsior treats and their wide array of uses.

GetCaught Media (GCM) redesigned packaging for the popular kiddies snack Cheese Krunchies and created a complementary look for the brand new White Cheddar Cheese Krunchies. The packaging we designed for both was a direct application of our Cheese Krunchies rebranding exercise.

Excelsior Animal Crackers really came to life with the new packaging GCM designed. We even went inside the bag and redesigned the shapes of the animal characters themselves, giving each biscuit a new kick while keeping the same flavour Jamaicans have come to love.

Excelsior’s ‘Alphabet & Number Crackers’ is the result of an idea GCM pitched as we had identified a market opportunity for a kids’ snack to be both healthy and educational. The client loved it. That’s all GCM needed to develop the brand identity and boost it right off the packaging we designed.

GCM breathed new life into Excelsior’s Smoochies cream cookies- literally. We created a playful Smoochies character and mascot that went along with all promotional activities for the brand. We even incorporated a coloring activity book for kids that included all the children’s brands such as Cheese Krunchies, Animal Crackers, Alphabet and Numbers and of course Smoochies.
