In the September 19, 2007 MarketingProfs.com Daily Fix blog, Michael Rubin along with other marketing profs noted an oft unnoticed shortcoming of our fully automated world.
It now seems to be a logical conclusion to go from using more automation to being less human. We know our parents tried, so where did the "please" and "thank you" go?
These short, polite ways of making someone's day are now disappearing into the world of social media and e-mail along with such archaic references as "oft".
Let's bring 'polite' back. Wear it well. Make it sexy. Let it define our work as creative folk and slow the diminishing returns on human evolution.
(The views expressed above are not necessarily those of GetCaught Media unless deemed worthy of a day at the spa, a box of 50 paper airplanes or ANYTHING from the fridge at Guilt Trip, Barbican Road.) |

The love of, and greed for money and politicians have "please and thank you" confused and wondering "where in the world are we?" |
